Today I Begin to Interpret the Koran

Today as a service to readers of this weblog, and in honor of the new year, I begin my own reading and interpretation of the Koran. Although I doubt I'll be able to get through the whole thing, I'm going to start with Shuras 1 and 2 and see what happens. Since I don't speak Arabic, I'll have to use an English translation. Posts on the subject will be collected under "The Koran" catagory in case you miss one.
